[Updated at 12:23 p.m. ET] President Obama touted the benefits of the law he championed as he reacted to the Supreme Court’s ruling.
“By this August, nearly 13 million of you will receive a rebate from your insurance company because it spent too much on things like administration and CEO bonuses and not enough on your healthcare,” Obama said.
Other benefits include lower drug costs for seniors as well as denying insurers the option to deny…

Trey Songz- Heart Attack
From Inventing Sex to Sex Ain’t Better Than Love, Trey Songz has come a long way from the young kid in “Gotta Make It”. Fine tuning his image and creating meaningful music has placed Trey Songz in my Top 5 favorite R&B artist. He connects with his fans like no other artist in the industry and genuinely shows he cares about them.
Judging from the recent released singles, Trey Songz may have a platinum record with the upcoming release of his new album Chapter V. The world premier of the video “Heart Attack” starring Kelly Rowland, speaks volumes to every listening ear. From the line “I’m into deep, Can’t think about giving it up” to “ I never knew love could feel like an heart attack”, are emotions everyone has felt once upon a time. The video captures the love in the relationships, but also the stress that comes along. Also showing the strength you need to keep going and fighting for the person you love.
The video “Heart Attack” receives an A+. A great storyline along with an amazing voice. Trey Songz is very talented and I am looking forward for what the future may bring for him.
One of my favorite PR/Social Media blogs is LAF, penned by PR Pro Lauren Fernandez. She has some amazing insight into the world of PR and Social Media, and her most recent post “What’s In Your PR Handbag/Briefcase” is no different. In the post, Fernandez lists three must-haves for every PR person’s handbag or briefcase.
What really stood out to me was that her must-haves were ordinary, and I mean that in a good way. They were simple items, but they were items you’ll be glad to have on-hand and kick yourself if you don’t.
After reading the post and some of the comments left by readers, it got me thinking. PR is PR, but there are differences depending on the industry, especially in the sports and/or entertainment world. So, I decided I wanted to make a quick list of a few items that will score points…

WHAT’S IN THIS SPRING?!
Although we’ve been having some pretty nice Spring weather, unfortunately its still Winter…..BUT Spring is right around the corner! We’re getting a couple more minutes of daylight each day, the weather has been fabulous (considering I live in the midwest and its February!), AND new Spring clothes are beginning to come out in the stores!! I haven’t started my Summer/Spring shopping yet but I will soon.
While reading magazines, seeing advertisements, looking at fashion shows and walking through the mall, I’ve noticed some new trends for the new season.
I know it may seem as though its too early to be talking about shopping for spring/summer clothes BUT in the “Fashion World” everything is in production no less that 6 months to a year before consumers see it. *confused face?* Meaning: The new clothes that you’ll buy for this summer were thought of, designed, and put into production a year ago; the clothes you’ll buy for Fall/Winter 2012 are already (more than likely) in production, and the designs for Spring/ Summer 2013 are probably being finalized right now (well not right now, right now but you know what I mean)! Anyway not that you cared to know any of that, I just though I’d let you in on a little “Fashion Fun Fact.”
So, here are some trendy styles, silhouettes and colors that many designers used for this Spring and they’ll probably find their way into your closets!
*Color Block and Stripes (clothes, shoes and accessories)
*Neon Colors, Yellow, Oranges and Tangerines
*Peplum shirts, skirts and dresses
*Floral print…even on footwear (of course, its the springy thing to wear)
*Midriffs (so get that tummy tight!!)
*Sequin bottoms (tops, shorts, skirts, pants, AND footwear)
*Retro styles (60s & 70s)
*Nautical/ Sailor look
There are more fashion trends for Spring/Summer 2012, but these are just the ones that many designers and some companies have been focusing on.
“Consumers look to spring for renewed energy, optimism and the promise of a brighter day,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®
Hope you all enjoyed…..now get to shopping!!!
How to find, charm, and keep corporate sponsors
Corporate sponsors seem to be everywhere in today’s world. Take the Olympics, for example. Hard to imagine what the skating rink would look like without those ubiquitous banners touting fast-food restaurants and telephone companies. It’s not just the big events that draw sponsors, either. Small, local events—10K runs, award dinners, neighborhood festivals—usually have a slew of corporate logos in the accompanying literature.
Why is corporate sponsorship so prevalent? Quite simply, it makes money. Done correctly, it can make a lot of money and build important relationships. Done poorly, it can cost money and waste many people’s time.
I’ve put together a 9-step guide that offers tips on soliciting, acquiring and retaining corporate sponsors. It is by no means a “definitive” guide, but it is a good starting point. The guide was written with small- to mid-size events in mind, however most…

I ran across this article as i was reading VOGUE online. In my ***Outfit of the Day*** posts I try to emphasize and encourage to take advantage of SALES, discounts, etc. Don’t spend all your money on 1 pair of Jimmy Choo’s or on the newest Fendi bag….well unless you can afford to do those things, then go ahead and splurge, BUT you can still be “Super Cheap, But Still Chic” (which is the name of the VOGUE Daily fashion article).
